Mark Borckardt is the senior cataloger of U.S. coins at Heritage Auctions and has been a full-time professional numismatist since 1980. He received the Early American Coppers Literary Award, and the Numismatic Literary Guild's Book of the Year award for the Encyclopedia of Early United States Cents, 1793-1814. He is a co-author of Million Dollar Nickels and serves as the contributor to A Guide Book of United States Coins.
